According to Euromonitor, the cosmetics market in India, with around 1.4 billion inhabitants, is one of the fastest growing markets worldwide (2016: + 9.2%). According to the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM), the market volume is estimated at US $ 6.5 billion in 2016 and is expected to rise to US $ 20 billion by 2025. The import requirements are very high and the approval of the products is associated with enormous legal requirements. "Made in Germany" is a mark of quality for manufacturers of cosmetics.We therefore expect high demand for German products in India as well.
